Kru Interactive

KRU Interactive was originally known as NEXON INC., which was the US-subsidary of NEXON, a prominent Korean videogame developer specializing in online gaming. NEXON INC. was founded in January 1993 by Sang-Baek "Scott" Lee. The company headquarters are located in Santa Clara, California.

In 1996, NEXON INC. licensed NEXON's popular title, BARAM for a US release which was re-tittled Nexus: The Kingdom of the Winds for a Western audience. The localization job was performed by Andrew Guilding (who served as Senior Game Director over many of NEXON INC's projects for a number of years) and David Kennerly (who was known to players as the GM ORB ).

In 1998, NexusTK went "GOLD" and became a commercial "Pay to Play" MMORPG.

Over the years, the relationship between NEXON and NEXON INC. changed. Increasingly, NEXON INC. became more of its own entity and in Feburary 2005, NEXON INC. purchased all the US rights to the BARAM 6.0 client and seperated its partnership with NEXON, becoming KRU Interactive. Sang-Baek "Scott" Lee is still President of the company.

Paths

Subpaths

NexusTK is set apart from other games because of its small community. Subpaths, both PC and NPC, are a major part of the community.

Player run

These paths are headed by an Elder, and new members are added by a Guide. They hold events for the community and promote roleplay. The current 12 are listed below, along with the extinct Shadow subpath.

NPC paths

These paths were created after the Player Character(PC) paths were, mainly for people who did not want to roleplay, but still wanted to be in a subpath. Any character at or above level 99 can join a NPC path if they meet the requirements by doing the join NPC path quest.

Clans

Clans are a unique feature in Nexus. They provide a common bond to players and allow them to interact together as a family. Each clan has certain qualities and characteristics.

Cave Information

In NexusTK, players often call dungeons "caves". Other than the different use of terminology, there is essentially no difference between "dungeons" and "caves"

Vortex

A popular hunting dungeon for level 99+ players. See Vortex Cave Requirements.

Mythic Caves

Extremely popular hunting grounds for players of almost all levels. See Mythic Caves Requirements.
