(05/26/2002)- King Yuri's Golden Jubilee. - Beloved King Yuri of Koguryo is celebrating his Golden Jubilee! The land is being filled with festivities to mark this great occasion, with many different events and ceremonies.

The first was a gift released by the palace staff to celebrate 50 years of Yuri's reign. Citizens from all nations are invited to visit the Koguryo palace and get one of these gifts to join in the celebration.

The Blacksmiths guild has also joined in the celebration, today they made two huge announcements. The first was concerning the strength of the warrior's items, which they felt were too weak. With new designs and materials they have been able to greatly increase the durability of these items, and they can now take a lot more damage.

The second announcement from the blacksmiths was a reduction in the cost of repairs for the next few days. For a short time all repairs will be given at a greatly reduced price, a total of 99% off!

King Yuri's Golden Jubilee was the celebration of the King's 50th year on the throne of Koguryo. The celebrations were a yuri long, taking place mainly on weekends. The event was hosted by Royal Peace Minister Muckish of Koguryo who led the joint Peace and Culture Ministries while Royal Culture Minister Anjos was ill.

For many this was the first time they had ever seen King Yuri. Throughout the year the celebrations were hosted by many of the subpaths and all of the Koguryian Clans.

During Yuri 50, Minister Muckish held many events including a story contest, poetry contest and a treasure hunt. These event winners received prizes such as sevenleaf sword and flameblade. In total 7 sevenleafs were distributed. The first fresh set of sevenleafs since the days of the Shattering.

Also for the purpose of celebrating Minister Muckish announced that toys would be given out to the community as souvenirs. Thus, five types of wind toys were distributed by the Royal Palace of Kugnae.

(June 16, 2002) King Yuri's Golden Jubilee came to a close this weekend, completing a series of events, competitions, and celebrations to mark 50 years of reign. King Yuri personally overlooked some of the events where citizens from all the surrounding kingdoms were able to win legendary weapons from King Yuri's personal treasury.
