The Hooded cloak is the Ranger subpath head item.
History
This is an excerpt, found in the journal of Gorrath, leader of the Rangers when Angelica first learned of her lineage.
~Today is a great day for us. Not only did we have the joy of bringing home one of the long lost members of our family, Angelica, daughter of Leelyia, but we also uncovered a wonderful garment that will make our lives so much easier.
This morning, we were visited by a group of our brethren who, because of their restless nature, had left our family and wandered the area of Shilla and Jinhan. Their leader, my cousin, Thagoth strolled into my camp at an early hour and sat down and helped himself to my breakfast. Not only was I lost for words at seeing him after such a long time, but I couldn't believe he was eating my food!
When I found my words again I asked him how he was doing. Through bites of my cooked rabbit meat he told me that he and the other Rangers that had traveled with him had decided that they missed us, and thought they would come stay with us for a while. Not only that, but he told me that they had a great surprise for us.
At that moment, Daregon, one of Thagoth's group ran into my camp, breathless. When he was able to, he told his story. An army patrol from Kugnae had made its way into the wilderness, seeking for knowledge of the Rangers' home grounds. At the moment, they had surrounded my camp, and were slowly making their way inwards.
I was at a loss for words. How could I have been so careless as to let this happen.
"It seems your surprise, my friend, was not as pleasant as expected," I told Thagoth.
"Oh, you'll see," he replied. Then, opening his pack, he unfolded three of the finest, most beautiful garments I had ever seen.
"Hooded cloaks," he told me, "a gift to us from the most marvelous tailor on Jinhan." At that moment, he threw the cloak off him and walked off into the forest. Not knowing what else to do, and after seeing Daregon do the same as Thogath, I threw on the remaining cloak and followed them. A ways down the path, we say a few gaurds from the Kugnaen patrol group. To my surprise, Thagoth and Daregon just walked right up to them and past them. The guard didn't see a thing. Not stopping to wonder at this lucky turn of fate, I too walked right past them.
Later on, united once again with the rest of the Rangers, I asked Thagoth to explain what had happened.
"These cloaks bring out the natural elements within us. In this manner, while wearing them, we can walk through the forest unnoticeable by eyes not used to the wilderness."
I was lost for words. This was truly a gift from mother nature herself to us, her sons and daughters. Me and Thagoth made sure that all the Rangers learned how the Hooded cloaks were made, making this wondrous garment available to all.
