The Nine Muse Sisters of Greek lore are the patron goddesses of the Muse Guild of Buya and Central Muse Guild. They appeared in the Kingdom of the Winds in the 50s in order to offer their blessings and mark the dawn of a new cultural capital in the East.
Each Muse Sister has a specific attribute and art to which she is linked. They are:
- Calliope - Muse of Epic Poetry
- Clio - Muse of History
- Euterpe - Muse of Music
- Urania - Muse of Astronomy
- Erato - Muse of Erotic Poetry
- Polyhymnia - Muse of Sacred Poetry
- Terpischore - Muse of Dance
- Thalia - Muse of Comedy
- Melpomene - Muse of Tragedy
The Muses are each located in places throughout the Nexus that appeal to their personalities and pertain to the specific arts they inspire. Their mother Mnemosyne lives in the Garden of the Muses and sets those who have been Graced by the Muse off on the Nine Muses Quest, which involves earning the blessings of all the Nine.
