In 1996, [[NEXON INC.]] licensed [[NEXON]]'s popular title, [[BARAM]] for a US release which was re-titled [[Nexus: The Kingdom of the Winds]] for a Western audience. The localization job was performed by [[Andrew Guilding]] (who served as Senior Game Director over many of NEXON INC's projects for a number of years) and [[David Kernnely]] (who was known to players as the [[GM]] [[ORB]] ).

In 1998, [[NexusTK]] went "[[GOLD]]" and became a commercial "[[Pay to Play]]" [[MMORPG]]. <p>

Over the years, the relationship between [[NEXON]] and [[NEXON INC.]] changed. Increasingly, NEXON INC. became more of its own entity and in Feburary 2005, [[NEXON INC.]] purchased all the US rights to the [[BARAM]] 6.0 client and separated its partnership with [[NEXON]], becoming [[KRU Interactive]]. [[Sang-Baek "Scott" Lee]] is still President of the company.
