:I agree, Winder.  But the General Information article contains more than just subpath and clan info.  We need a nice, clean solution to this.  Maybe add "Subpaths" and "Clans" to the menu, and move everything else to a "Miscellaneous" article (also in the menu)?  We could also pull out the " Kingdoms and Important areas" section and put it in a "Places" menu item or something.-- PhantomSnake 23:25, 19 June 2006 (EDT)
I would say Add Emotions, Subpaths, Clans, and World to the navigation tab and remove General.
The "Paths" section under general is basically a list of subpaths anyway. Getting rid of it or putting it somewhere else would be best.
Put all PC/NPC subpaths under Subpaths
Put all Clans/Armies/etc under Clans
Put Emotions under Emotions
and Put all areas Kugnae/Mythic/Vortex/etc under World (or a different name, you get the idea though)
I would do it if I could figure out how to edit that navigation thing, but so far all I understand how to do is anything I've done on the Barbarian Pages

:I think the main problem might be thinking up a bettere name for the "General" section. By the time you start adding more and more individual things to the menu, it will start losing it's effectiveness by being difficult to navigate. For instance, does subpaths really need it's own menu entry, or isn't it really just a subtopic of paths? And if you split it up and had a Misc page, is that really appropriate for Carnage info? Think of the menu entries not as topics but as the different aspects of the game. Items and Spells are very different. You wouldn't want to throw them together on a single article. Quests and Creatures, again very different--you wouldn't want to combine them. But path and subpath? Even path and clan? These are similar things and can be affording to be combined together to neaten things up. The only exception we have made since the beginning really is the Crafting link, which could really find a place under the General tab. Unlike path/subpath info, however, it is more difficult to find Crafting information in-game. So, a lot more people come to NW for crafting than path information. In fact, we've more hits on the Crafting page than we do the General page--which means more people come to NW for crafting than for clans/armies/path/subpaths combined. That is why it has its own entry.
:All that to say, I think it is important to link to good articles. That much is true. Subpaths/Clans are a big part of the game and should be treated accordingly. However, subpaths specifically, I think the firstly that the Path portal pages are soon going to "replace" the regular path entry pages. Look at Portal:Rogue for instance versus the Rogue article. Clearly the portal has much more potential. This is an appropriate place, in my opinion, to link to relevant articles including the path's subpaths. --Zaventh 11:44, 29 July 2006 (EDT)

Re - Nexus time
Re - Nexus Time
Ally this is doable and I looked into it using php, the biggest problem I found when I looked at it was that for some odd reason time slowly falls out of sync or at least it used to almost like a game day wasnt quiet 3hrs or was slightly more (I suspect game server resets were messing me around)...I was forever adjust my code and in the end can'd the project, was most frustrating, I could manually monitor times and see if it's doable now? As I recall even nexon couldn't get the times right on there website while they had it there.

Oh why I was doing this basicallly i just wanted to display a diff totem graphic for the correct totem time in game, I relise you want a specific moon etc time but the principal would be the same -- Raq
Nexus time is based on real time. 8 hours = one real day. It would be easy enough to create a script to do this calculation. However, it can't really be done because Nexus Time is not exactly. Every time there is a server reset, for instance, time stops. Sometimes it doesn't start where it left off, either. That just makes it impossible really to keep up with it externally. This is as far as I know at least. --Zaventh 00:09, 29 May 2006 (EDT)

It would be great to get some of our own maps of Nexus on there. I know NA just walks around, takes screenshots of each quadrant, and then assembles them all in photoshop or gimp. I am sure it is a very time consuming process. Anyone interesting in working on this project please contact me. --Zaventh 10:37, 22 June 2006 (EDT)

Navigation Tab

It makes no sense to have General at all, I am not 100% sure how to change it properly, so someone else should do it, but General should be removed. Add "Subpaths", "Clans", etc to the left navigation area.

I have massively updated the Barbarian section.

I think the main problem might be thinking up a bettere name for the "General" section.
All that to say, I think it is important to link to good articles.
I reverted my changes to the menu for now. I agree we don't want to turn the menu into some kind of Swiss army knife of links. Also, my code seemed to have some bugs. :P However, I do think clans and subpaths need some prominent representation. At this point in its life, Nexus is mostly about community, the wiki should reflect this... We do have links to subpaths and clans in the Quick Links section on the main page, but they are only accessible from that one page. Same thing for the portals (by the way, my changed MenuNav did link to the portals, not the regular pages). The portal links are on the main page, but it's very easy to miss them. I think I'll tweak the portal links on the main page for now.-- PhantomSnake 13:52, 29 July 2006 (EDT)

NexusLive Discussion

NexusLive has been developed at such a rapid speed it went directly to Stage 4 (Deployment) phase. We are, however, working on a client version of NexusLive that individuals will be able to run on their computers and display their characters. Market Prices

Looking for someone to head up the establishment of the Market Prices page. Tables are obviously involved and it is really a matter of inputting all the data perhaps from the Merchant list onto here and then keeping it up to date. --Zaventh 12:06, 10 Feb 2006 (EST)

Categories and info boxes

I have noticed that categories are not used on NexusWiki. I think these could greatly aid in the organization issue. Also, the use of info boxes could help keep a uniform format for items and spells. Thoughts? --Leonis 00:07, 27 Apr 2006 (EDT)

Yes, they would be good to implement. Go for it. :) --Zaventh 13:11, 3 May 2006 (EDT)
