Technically, they could, but they would just waste their time. A wiki lets anyone edit pages, but it is extremely easy (2 mouse clicks) to revent a page back to its original form if it was defaced. We all track every IP address that edits pages. If it becomes a problem, we can and will report frequent vandalisms to Kru Interactive and the appropriate authorities.

Easy. As you are using the wiki, if you come across a vandalized page, go up to the top of page to the "History" tab. From there you can revert to the last good version of the page before it was vandalized. Thank you for helping to maintain the integrity of NexusWiki.

Enter the name of the image you want in the search field to the left and click '''Search''' (e.g. "Amethyst"). Then, at the bottom of the results page uncheck '''(Main)''' and check '''Image''' and click '''Search'''. If the image already exists in the wiki it will find a match (e.g. '''Image:Gem.gif''') which you can use. If the image is not found you may upload it yourself. Remember that some images may exist as an alternate name. For instance, there may not be a Gold acorn graphic, but there is an Acorn graphic already which can also be used as the Chestnut graphic.

Many modern players support Ogg files. The latest version of [[http://www.winamp.com Winamp]] supports it natively. ==Your graphics are lame. Can I do something about that?==
Most certainly. If you would like to fashion a new logo or button, just do it and e-mail it to [zaventh at zaventh com]. If you want to create an entire site template, well... you're on your own. But you can check out [http://www.mediawiki.org MediaWiki] for some help. Any graphics in a wiki page can also be changed by anyone. Use the [[Special:Upload | upload page]] to add graphics to this site.

General

What is a wiki?

Check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wiki for all you need to know.

What can I do on this site?

You can view pages other users have created, such as events, history, general Nexus info and some other things. If you create a free account you can also add to any portion of the site.

Won't people just come along and delete everything?

Technically, they could, but they would just waste their time. A wiki lets anyone edit pages, but it is extremely easy (2 mouse clicks) to revent a page back to its original form if it was defaced. We all track every IP address that edits pages. If it becomes a problem, we can and will report frequent vandalisms to the appropriate authorities.

How can I help prevent vandalism?

Easy. As you are using the wiki, if you come across a vandalized page, go up to the top of page to the "History" tab. From there you can revert to the last good version of the page before it was vandalized. Thank you for helping to maintain the integrity of NexusWiki.

Searching

How do I search for an image?

Enter the name of the image you want in the search field to the left and click Search (e.g. "Amethyst"). Then, at the bottom of the results page uncheck (Main) and check Image and click Search. If the image already exists in the wiki it will find a match (e.g. Image:Gem.gif) which you can use. If the image is not found you may upload it yourself. Remember that some images may exist as an alternate name. For instance, there may not be a Gold acorn graphic, but there is an Acorn graphic already which can also be used as the Chestnut graphic.

Somewhere around 5 megabytes. This cannot be changed. Large images will be automatically resized and formatted. When adding media, the smaller the better.

Many modern players support Ogg files. The latest version of [Winamp] supports it natively. If you have Windows Media Player, you will need an Ogg codec which you can get from [here]. [JOrbis] is a cross-platfrom Ogg player that should play Oggs on any operating system.
