Karma Newbie

A Nexus colloquial term meaning a registered Nexus character that is created with the sole purpose of raising another character's Karma. These newbies, once level 5, must have the Mentor spell cast on them. Once the newbie gains enough experience to achieve level 15, the Mentor must recast the Mentor spell on them to receive one full Karma point.

While this practice is usually done by players for other friends who need Karma, Karma Newbies often sell their services to players requiring Karma.

Registered players with available slots can create Karma Newbies.

While using karma newbies is widely considered to be the fastest and simplest way of raising a character's karma, it is frowned upon by some, especially roleplayers.
