In 1996, NEXON INC. licensed NEXON's popular title, [[BARAM]] for a US release which was re-titled [[Nexus: The Kingdom of the Winds]] for a Western audience. The localization job was performed by [[Andrew Guilding]], who served as Senior Game Director over many of NEXON INC's projects for a number of years, and [[David Kernnely]], who was known to players as the [[GM]] [[ORB]].

Increasingly, NEXON INC. became more of its own entity and in Feburary 2005, NEXON INC. purchased the US rights to the [[BARAM]] 6.0 client and split from NEXON, becoming KRU Interactive. [[Sang-Baek "Scott" Lee]] is still President of the company.
 
KRU Interactive remains the US publisher for other former NEXON INC. titles, namely [http://www.darkages.com Dark Ages] and [http://www.sgalaxy.com/ Shattered Galaxy].

KRU Interactive was originally known as NEXON INC., which was the US-subsidary of NEXON, a prominent Korean videogame developer specializing in online gaming. NEXON INC. was founded in January 1993 by Sang-Baek "Scott" Lee. The is headquartered in Santa Clara, California.

In 1996, NEXON INC. licensed NEXON's popular title, BARAM for a US release which was re-titled Nexus: The Kingdom of the Winds for a Western audience. The localization job was performed by Andrew Guilding, who served as Senior Game Director over many of NEXON INC's projects for a number of years, and David Kernnely, who was known to players as the GM ORB.
