Specty is an NPC that lives in Trapper's Paradise. He buys several items such as Green squirrel pelts and Seaweed. You will find that he can provide you with the Ranger Code containing ranger lore and general path information. Specty has the power to Revive, and with low enough health, giving him a simple "Thank You" will restore you to good standing.
History
Specty, the Green Squirrel
Under a Great Oak in the Trapper's Paradise, lives Specty the green squirrel. Specty does not speak much, as he hides in the hundreds of tress and shrubs observing many passing Strangers.
In a past life, many years ago was Specty living in the open Wilderness south of Buya. Many greens could be found in the Wilderness. It was beautiful then, with lush tall trees that pierce the sky. Animals there welcomed the encounter of people to live a simple life. That all changed however.
Man-Shik is the powerful dark force that now occupies Specty's old home. He had killed off many of the animals and sickened the health of green trees. Man-Shik made this his home. Ravens were bred with White snakes (Boa) that strike beyond reproach, many Wilderness creatures were turned to rats.
Specty was one of only survivor of his green family to flee the wrath of Man-Shik. He is now protected by the Rangers in the Trapper's Paradise. If you find him, Specty has vital information on becoming a Ranger and will buy your Green squirrel pelts and Seaweed. You may try to refer to his past life, but I doubt he will break his silence once more.
