Certain areas in nexus are PK enabled. This means people are able to kill oneanother in these areas. In other games this is sometimes called PVP (Player vs player). Popular PK areas include vale and sire pit.
Death in a PK area, regardless of whether or not you were killed by another person, will not damage your items or experience. Only your ego.
