General Info

Enigma's Primogen is Magnita with BruXinha as Primarch. A complete list of their members can be found here Their official site can be found here

Enigma clan is one of the original clans and was founded by Astley and RogueShawn. The clan is founded in the principles of family, unity, and honor.

Enigma is one of the largest clans in the kingdoms, yet has one of the most rigorous admission processes. There are no applications for Enigma. One must either be sponsored into the clan by two established members or admitted through the guide process.

History

In the early days of King Yuri, long before the Great Shift, two honorable kindred of Heavens Clan approached their Primogen Wasse to make a request. These kindred, Astley and RogueShawn sought to form a new clan based on family, honor and unity. From this ideal was born the Clan of Enigma. Astley served as first Primogen and saw the clan through its early development. Unfortunately, his thirst for knowledge called him away to study in a foreign land. Wolfen, a trusted council-member was named the new Primogen of Enigma. Astley then left to seek his fortune, though he still remembers his home and comes to visit. Wolfen led Enigma through a stage of growth and change. As the clan grew, new rules and policies were made. In general, the clan prospered. Wolfen also felt the pull of adventure and far away lands, and would often go exploring for moons at a time. During these absences, Troll, Wolfen's General and right-hand man would oversee the clan. It was only a matter of time until the Sacred clan sword and Emblem were handed down to Troll, along with the powers of the office. Troll spent much of his time as Primogen reorganizing the clan government and keeping the ever-growing clan running smoothly as possible. Unfortunately, Troll's primogency was cut short. The Gods decided that Troll had abused a subpath spell and Troll was arrested. Although the Clan protested, Troll stepped down as Primogen. His anger at the Gods for this injustice caused him and his family to leave the Kingdom. Before leaving, Troll left the Primogency to me, Omi. I was very inexperienced, and still quite young. Frequent leadership changes had left many members skeptical, and to be sure, I have made many mistakes. I feel that now, however, Enigma is being ushered into a new age. The membership is solid, and is working as one to see Enigma succeed. Astley and RogueShawn would be proud of what Enigma is today.

Enigma Anthem

Enigma, steadfast as the mountains,

Ageless as the sea,

Will lead the way and stand as one,

Our strength in unity!

The Mighty Oak grows strong,

And cries Enigma's name.

With great emotion, proud devotion,

Praises we proclaim!

Our kindred, true, will stand by you

Through ev'ry endeavour,

With honour, truth, and bravery.

Enigma forever!

Clan Motto: Unity

Our clan motto for a long time has been Strength in Unity. But what does that mean really? Obviously, it means that by acting as one, our clan will be stronger... but what does it mean to you and I individually as kindred? Well, our clan is made of many, many diverse people. We obviously don't all think alike, look alike, or do the same things. How then can we have unity?

The answer to that comes back to one of our main clan principles: Respect. By having respect for one another, and respect for our clan as a whole, we can present a united front to the kingdom; we then have unity. It also means standing behind our leader, and those that work hard to make the clan function.

I'm not saying we shouldn't or won't have disagreements. Diverse opinions and intelligent minds make this clan great! We don't all have to love or even like one another; in a clan of our size, it's difficult if not impossible. But we should always grant each other the gift of respect; after all, every one of you kindred *do* have one thing in common with you... a love for this clan.

I have loved this clan for many, many years. In some ways it is a very different clan than the one I first joined, but this is also a very different kingdom from when I first moved here. It is still the greatest clan in the kingdom, and my family. And I know everyone feels the same.

Get involved with your clan, with your family! This clan truly becomes great when all of its kindred pitch in to make it so!

Admissions

Purpose

The purpose of the guide program is to have an active recruiting team for the Enigma clan. Guides will concentrate on younger members of the kingdom, and try to locate folks that have the qualities we look for.

Guide Admittance Procedure

The process through which Guides have folks admitted is different from the main body of the clan. Only one guide is needed to sponsor a member, and sponsorship does not cost a guide clan points. However, there is much more time invested in scouting a new potential member. The guided prospect does not need to undergo kinship testing, but once the guide decides the prospect is ready, may proceed directly to testing, donation and become a member. The exact procedure is: 1. After finding a prospect, nmail FoxyHealer notifying the beginning of the relationship with guide and prospect. 2. Begin working with prospect until they are ready for kinship. The time for this will vary depending on the prospect. 3. Once prospect is ready, nmail FoxyHealer a report of activities with prospect and why you feel they are Enigma material. 4. FoxyHealer will take the process from here. You will be awarded 1000 clan points for each new kindred you bring to the clan.

Minimum Requirements for Membership

Guides should consider only those above level 30 with no red criminal brands. (Negative RP marks are more debateable.) Time should be spent with the potential recruit in the form of a small hunt. Look for any signs or tendencies towards dishonest or dishonrable behavior. In a hunt this comes out very clearly. More importantly, look for signs of a positive nature. Generosity, Compassion, willingness to help. Watch them work with a newbie at iron heart or jadespear. How are they to newbie questions? Possibly create a newbie and see how they respond to polite requests for help. As a guide, do not make a decision on a new recruit within 2 minutes. We are looking to add the cream of the crop to this clan, and the guide program is our main opportunity to do so.

Costs for regular admittance

The costs for regular sponsorship is now prohibitively high, so that basically admits from the membership will be mostly close friends and family. The clan body at large will not actively recruit. But this kind of system ensures a high quality of membership without slowing down membership levels. Keep that goal in mind as a guide. Two sponsors are needed to start the admissions process. These two sponsors will be giving clan points up to sponsor this hopeful so it is not just a "friend" but a person the sponsor desires to have in the clan. Once both sponsors have mailed FoxyHealer about there decision the sponsors will mail the hopeful all the information needed and the hopeful will undergo the "kinship" process which is where the hopeful meets 4 clan members and interacts with them and FoxyHealer is updated on the process of all of the chats. After the kinship process the applicant will be tested by FoxyHealer and decision of admission will rely on the interview.

Sponsoring

Enigma Sponsor Policy ~

A prospective who enters the Sponsor program must be level 50 or above. The prospective must be Kogurian, and must not have any brandings for crimes. 1. The prospective member needs 2 sponsors in Enigma. Each of the sponsors must have 25,000 clan points to be able to sponsor someone. Sponsoring a member "costs" 10,000 clan points. This is to ensure that we only sponsor those who are close friends and family, and not just anyone who wants to join. 2. The sponsors will send n-mail to Quilter, who is in charge of admissions, stating whom they're sponsoring. 3. The sponsors should then educate the prospective member about Enigma. They should send him/her the Clan Laws, the Clan Basics, the latest Clan Donations list, Clan Rank list etc. 4. The last steps of the admission are a series of quests, tests, and a donation. The prospective member will be given tests about Enigma. If the prospective has read and understood everything in the Clan Laws, etc, these tests should not be very hard. If they fail the tests the first time, they may take it again. They may only fail twice, however, if they fail the third time they will not be admitted.

Upon admission, the prospective must donate items on the Clan Donations list. People who are level 50-98 donate items or money worth 15 x their level. A level 70 person thus donates 70 x 15 = 1,050 points worth of items or money. Level 99 donates for 5,000 points, Wasabi donates for 10,000 points, Enchanted donates for 15,000 points, Il San 20,000, EE San 25,000 and Sam San is 30,000 points.
Any questions about sponsoring can be directed to Quilter.

Enigma has guides that can help you with chatting to new people interested in joining our clan. Please feel free to contact them if you need any assistance. The current list of clan guides is posted on the clan board.
