Nexus was my first online game and I honestly had no idea what name to use so I looked over at a greek mythology book on my desk and opened it to the story of Ariadne who was the the daughter of the Cretan King Minos and his wife Pasiphae and later went on to marry Dionysis, the Greek god of Wine.  There are many versions of Ariadne's story represented in Greek mythology but in short, she represented a tragic heroine figure.

When I joined the path I started doing historical research on what a Diviner was and was instantly fascinated by it.  I studied hard and ended up learned about hundreds of different methods of divination but really only specializing in a few that are more fitting for in game.  I do tarot, i-ching (obviously :P), eastern astrology, color divination (divine by colors), Alcheomancy (divination by using potions), dream interpretion and reading of the petals ... which is a variation of water scrying but with using rose petals.

I began playing Nexus in the Winter of Yuri 41. I was introduced to the game from my boyfriend at the time's twin brother.

I change the spelling around a little and that is how I got Airadine.

I have never been in a subpath on this character but I have been a carnage host for the last 2 or 3 years. It's fun but can be very stressful.

My other main character is Airess. In Yuri 44 the quota came about and I created a mage for a friend to help his path reach the god requested requirement of 60 members. At the time I had no idea what a Diviner even was but it was the days of the quota rush and they were letting everyone in. :P

In or around Yuri 60 something I met everclear/Falaris in game. I have actually met him before but we never really talked. He thought I was annoying and I thought he was an egotistical jerk. :P Anyway do to some subpath related incidents, we started to talk. In time we became close friends and eventually he came here to Texas for a visit.  :) On December 7, 2003 he moved in and on December 24, 2004 he asked me to marry him. We stopped playing Nexus after he moved in for about a year. We tried out other games such as Dark Age of Camelot, World of Warcraft (beta) and Everquest 2. Fascinating games, each in their own right but still they are not Nexus. They each lack the draw that Nexus has. And that is that.  :)
