First you must send a role-play reason why you wish to have an I-Ching reading along with the required information listed in the I-Ching rules. If the guide feels you are worthy of a reading h/s will contact you via n-mail, do not whisper a guide about readings. Guides are very busy and will answer your n-mail to let you know if you are worthy or not.

Note: Along with your request you must let us know Yuri you were born, what your karma is, how many criminal brands you have, the date of the most recent, and an explanation about why you received the brands. List how many I-Ching readings you have had and date of the last one, also remember you will need a Trigram key set and a Tao stone.

An I-Ching reading is a form of Divination
popular among the Diviners, both for its
simplicity and its stalks, the Diviner seeks
to release a person's dormant destiny, and
to provide assistance and insight to a problem.

To receive an I-Ching reading, you must send
a letter to a Diviner guide stating why you
would like to receive such a reading.
When the guide receives your letter, they
will send you a small quest to complete.
Below is an example of a request

For everyone's first five I-Ching readings you must
have a minimum of Dog karma and for the next five readings you
must have a minimum of Tiger karma. All readings after that require
Spirit or higher karma. If you have an arrest,
it must be over one Yuri old for us to consider you.
For every Yuri that you have been in the kingdoms,
you are permitted one reading. You must wait two
weeks between readings, so that all may receive
the I-Ching's lessons.

Words can only go so far. As the old adage goes, "actions speak louder than words." Diviners are honest, law abiding citizens, if you bear the criminal branding of injustice, you shall not be accepted until your actions have been atoned for. For this, you may seek out a Chongun guide to absolve you of your sins. If you have a mark that cannot be removed, then you must get a Royal Pardon, information can be found on the guide board.

~*And what of your beliefs?*~
Remember, Diviners are not evil. Each Diviner represents a part in the cycle of the Tao, of the Yin and Yang. We walk amidst the Light, the Dark, and the Grey, depending on how we represent the balance within the Tao. Do not be led astray by misconceptions, for Dark Diviners are not evil. Though Diviners are not strictly Taoists, we do have a deep understanding of the Tao, as well as Yin and Yang.

~*And our honor?*~
Some tend to regard ((PK)) as discourteous and offensive, and others as a form of recreation with friends. The truth of the matter is, it can be both. We as Diviners feel that any unjustified slaying of Innocents is wrong, and therefore to not practice it. We do, however, spar with our friends, provided they agree to the arrangement. If someone else, however, is starting a fight with us, we hinder only in self-defense. Carnages and ((PK)) in The Sire Pit are acceptable, as they are ((OOC)).

~*Practice!*~
For those of you who seek to harness your ability to see into the future, we recommend practicing the I'Ching. The I'Ching has long since been our preferred method of divination, and is required to be learned as a student. There exist many other methods of divination, and encourage you to find one that fits your purpose as well. We Do not commune with the spirits we leave this to the Shaman path whose path revolves around the spirit world.

~*Restrictions*~
We have now opened our doors to those who have walked another path and feel that their home is within the Diviner walls. We do not, however, accept those who have been asked to leave or removed from the diviner path, ((this includes on other characters, as well as previous character.))

~*A final word of advice*~
If you truly believe yourself to be a Diviner, I advise you to get a copy of The Divine Chronicle from Sheng in the Tao Te Ching ((126/169, Kugnae)). Read some of the posts about the ways of a Diviner to make sure our path is right for you. Any knowledge you gain about the Tao, Yin and Yang will aid you, you will be required to have some understanding of both. Sanhae Valley

Sanhae is a sleepy little village snuggled inside Du mountain. Sanhae is actually a village just outside of Buya. They are part of the Buyan empire and are best known for their crafting facilities. To get to Sanhae you must first go to the Artic Land. After leaving Haeng's tavern, walk directly south, cross the bridge going east and you will enter the Sanhae pass.

To the east you will find Aura the Shaman [38,34] and the Sanhae Hall [33,19] ''** This is where you will find the Sanhae Mayor and the DO Training area.''

Far north you will find Gruff the Smith. [25,09]

To the west you will find Spruce Inn [16,31], Lin the tailor [13,21] and Lan who runs a ring shop [18,19]. Lan is the only person I know to buy crafted yellow ambers.

== Roleplay ==

The Diviners, in a word, are seers. Diviners can look into the future and see what it holds. They believe in being peaceful, and avoiding wars, maintaining the balance of the universe through the Yin, Yang, and the Tao.
Most Diviners seek to help the community through deeds that include asking the Gods of NexusTK what karma level a certain person is, an act known as reading karma and conducting [[I-Ching readings]], an act only possible if you a Diviner [[guide]] (for the actual spell version - any walker can give a [[Roleplay]] reading).

The Diviner information scroll is called "The Divine Chronicles", and can be purchased for 1000 [[coins]] from [[Sheng]], the Angel in the [[Tao Te Ching]] (Diviner Subpath Area, located next to the [[Kugnae]] [[G'oh]] board).

Diviners also believe in a force known as [[Karma]].

Personal totem spirits are the ones who watch
over you and work with you through your life.

Walking beside us throughout our lifetime, is our Power Totem, that animal spirit with whom we share an especially strong bond, what some might think of as a "guardian spirit." The Power Totem is indeed that, yet so much more for they are our Brother/Sister, friend, messenger from the Ancestors.

The Animal Totem that comes to you offers you power and wisdom if you will learn to communicate with it, with respect, trust, and understanding. Having an animal totem means that you have lessons to learn and a powerful spiritual friend.

A person wishing to know their personal spirit totem is sent upon the vision quest to collect the items that will reveal their identities

The Vision Quest begins with the recognition of the God you worship by bringing along one of his keys. You will also need to bring one of the elemental (trigram) keys. Think carefully on which keys you will carry with you along this journey, for they too, will help with the revelation of your totem spirit.
Following this, you must spend some time in meditation and watch for signs from your totem. During your meditation 5 signs will be presented to you, consisting of 5 items and their relative meanings.

After the Vision Quest is completed, return to your home and compile the results of your quest on to a scroll. Make sure to include the Totem Key, Trigram Key, and the 5 items along with each reason they were used or presented to you in your Vision Quest.

When this step is completed, you may request a shaman to reveal your Totem Spirit. If your story is incomplete in any way they will ask you to return to your meditations untill everything is revealed to you.
Once the shaman has unraveled the meanings of your Quest, s/he will contact you to meet with them. At this time, please bring with you a piece of the Purest Quartz and both the Trigram Key and the Totem Key, and 10 Mountain Ginseng to aid us in meditation.

Through Spiritual Guidance the shaman will be able to reveal your totem spirit and provide you with a Totem Jewel to bring you closer to your totem spirit.
